Edmund M. (Ed) Sierra
Land and Resource Development
Mr. Sierra joins the Okmin Resources team with 40 years of diversified commercial experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Sierra’s experience encompasses the areas of land management, exploration joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, regulatory, surface management, and gas marketing. He has worked many of the major onshore US basins and resource plays in the Mid-Continent, Permian, Rockies, Gulf Coast, and South Texas.
Prior to joining Okmin, Mr. Sierra held various leadership roles with Atlantic Richfield Company, Vastar Resources, Inc., BP America Production Company, and most recently served as Vice President of Land for Continental Resources, Inc. from 2015-2021.
Mr. Sierra holds a B.A., Master of Public Affairs, and J.D. in Law from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Association of Professional Landmen
